Winemaking
100% Grillo grown in the Partinico area, within the Alcamo DOC Bianco zone, at 350 m above sea level. Trained on espalier using the Guyot method, at a density of around 5,000 plants per hectare. Soft-pressed with complete protection from air, fermented at controlled temperature, and refined in steel tanks for approximately four months. Best served around 11°C in medium-sized glasses. The producer’s sheet heads this wine "Terre Siciliane DOC". Terre Siciliane is an IGT, and Brugnano’s own Amaru sheet states it as such, so the qualifier is left off here pending confirmation.
About Brugnano
A family winery in Partinico, in the province of Palermo in northwestern Sicily, continuing a winemaking tradition of more than fifty years and now run by brothers Francesco and Giuseppe Brugnano. Its vineyards lie on hilly terrain between 300 and 600 metres, spanning the Monreale and Alcamo DOC zones.
