Welcome to Real Vinum.
We believe wine is far more than a drink. It is culture, history, place and tradition, and an extraordinary way of bringing people together.
Our appetite for finding good wine takes us to producers who share the way we see it: authenticity, quality, and respect for where a wine comes from.
Real Vinum grew out of a genuine love of wine and a commitment to sharing what the great wine regions have to offer. As importers and distributors, we connect wineries with restaurants, hospitality professionals and buyers who care about the same things.
From choosing a label to putting it in front of the people who will pour it, our purpose is to get a memorable glass into more hands.
Real Vinum Import is a family-run importer and distributor based in Weston, Florida. We bring in wine from Spain, Portugal, Italy and France, alongside selections from Argentina, Chile and the United States, and deliver them to licensed restaurants, bars and retailers across the state.
We are small on purpose. Every wine in the portfolio is one we have tasted and would pour ourselves, and the person who sells it to you is the person who can tell you how it was made. That is harder to do at scale, and it is the part of the job we care about.

The sommelier behind the portfolio
Meet Gustavo Piteo
Gustavo Piteo is a certified sommelier and oenologist, with qualifications from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, the Wine Scholar Guild and the Sherry Council of Jerez.
That training shapes the portfolio. Every wine is one he has tasted and would pour himself, so when you call with a question about a wine, you are talking to the person who chose it.
He also works outside the portfolio, leading tastings, training restaurant floors and helping businesses build a wine programme of their own.
In his own words
My career in wine combines international training, academic specialisation and hands-on experience in the trade.
I trained as a sommelier and as an oenologist in Spain, and qualified there as a specialist in the wines of Jerez. In the United States I have added WSET certifications, along with Wine Scholar Guild specialisations in Italy, Spain and France.
I have also studied the wines of Portugal and of Jerez in depth: their regions and denominations of origin, their grape varieties and terroirs, and the traditions and methods behind them.
That grounding, together with running an import and distribution business here in the United States, lets me come at wine from every side at once: the technical, the cultural, the gastronomic, the service and the commercial.
As the founder of Real Vinum, what I enjoy is finding wine, choosing it and putting it in front of people, connecting producers with restaurants, with hospitality professionals, and with everyone who loves a good glass.

How we work
- We sell to the trade only
- Real Vinum is a licensed Florida distributor. We supply businesses holding a valid alcoholic beverage licence. We do not sell to consumers.
- Order online or by phone
- Approved accounts can order through this site at any hour, or call us. Either way a person reviews the order before it ships.
- We confirm before we deliver
- An order placed here is a request. We check stock, confirm quantities and agree a delivery date with you, then invoice on terms.
- We deliver ourselves
- South Florida and North-Central Florida, on our own schedule, so we know when your wine arrives.
