Intense violet color, with complexity and concentration. Fresh notes of blueberries and cassis mingle with riper notes of toasted figs, tobacco and chocolate, closing with a finish that is both powerful and elegant.
Pairs with: Ribeye, Patagonian lamb and braised short ribs. Its concentration, depth and structure carry richly flavored red meats.

Winemaking
Made from Rebón, the producer's sole vineyard: planted in 1998 in La Consulta, Uco Valley, Mendoza, above 1,000 meters, on thin sandy topsoil over a bed of round, eroded rocks and calcareous deposits. Production is limited, and the wine is carried on the wine lists of some of Argentina's best restaurants and top wine shops. Retailer sources report aging of around 24 months in new French oak followed by about 12 months in bottle, and alcohol in the range of roughly 14.7-14.9% by volume depending on vintage; recommended serving temperature is about 16°C.
