Cantamuda Roble
Briones Abbad · D.O. Ribera del Duero · Roa
Clean and bright, a medium-bodied dark cherry red with distinct violet hues on the rim. Intense and powerful on the nose, with ripe black berries and red fruits such as cranberry and raspberry, and well-integrated vanilla, toffee and coffee notes from the oak. A complex palate, rich and balanced, with mature tannins that give depth and roundness and a long, lingering finish.
Pairs with: Gourmet burgers, grilled pork ribs and chorizo criollo. The ripe fruit and touches of oak are a natural match for anything off the grill.

Winemaking
A lightly oaked Tempranillo: 6 months in oak. 100% Tempranillo from a 12-year-old family-owned vineyard on clay-limestone hillsides, yield capped at 4,500 kg/ha. Hand-harvested into 15 kg boxes with double selection in the vineyard and cellar. Macerated 14–18 days with fermentation controlled at 25 °C, then 4 months in bottle before release. Serve at 12–16 °C.
About Briones Abbad
Makers of the Cantamuda wines: a family project of Carmen and Luis Ángel in Ribera del Duero, from their own vineyards around La Horra, near Roa: high-altitude sites such as La Trinitaria and El Pino at 810–820 m, on sandy, calcareous and gravelly soils. Everything is hand-harvested into 15 kg boxes and selected twice, in the vineyard and again at the winery. In 2018 the family bought and restored their old store at the Roa railway station, built around 1956.
