Cantamuda Parcela 64
Briones Abbad · D.O. Ribera del Duero · Roa
Bright, clean, intense cherry red with a garnet rim. Deep, complex aromas of ripe fruit compote such as plums and berries come together with woody tones of coffee, toffee, clove and spice, and notes of liquorice typical of Tempranillo. On the palate a well-balanced structure, meaty and expressive yet smooth and mouth-filling. Mature tannins make for a lingering and enchanting finish.
Pairs with: Milk-fed lamb chops, beef tenderloin and sautéed wild mushrooms. Its single-parcel character and structure carry flavorful meats and dishes of medium to high intensity.

About Briones Abbad
Makers of the Cantamuda wines: a family project of Carmen and Luis Ángel in Ribera del Duero, from their own vineyards around La Horra, near Roa: high-altitude sites such as La Trinitaria and El Pino at 810–820 m, on sandy, calcareous and gravelly soils. Everything is hand-harvested into 15 kg boxes and selected twice, in the vineyard and again at the winery. In 2018 the family bought and restored their old store at the Roa railway station, built around 1956.
