Intense color, blackberry with violet tones. A very aromatic, intense wine with lots of sweet red fruit and vanilla notes, and hints of black licorice. Soft and pleasant on the palate, with notes of red fruits, sweet black licorice and light chocolate, and a delicate finish.
Pairs with: Red meats, meaty fish, tomato, pasta.

Winemaking
100% Tempranillo from centenary vines on calcareous clay soil under a Mediterranean climate (13 inches of rainfall per year). Harvested into 25 kg boxes to keep each bunch in perfect condition, then vinified in a small 12,000 kg tank with extended skin contact for more color, aroma and a high polyphenol index, and sweet tannin. Pressed, with a second (malolactic) fermentation in new American oak barrels; once complete, the wine is removed from barrel and stabilized before bottling.
